About This Guide

The J2ME Programming Guide is Eric Giguere’s site dedicated to Java ME (formerly known as J2ME) programming. In it, Eric presents tutorials and tips for Java ME development.

Eric is the author of two books about Java ME:

MIDP is an acronym for Mobile Information Device Profile, arguably the most important Java ME programming standard and the programming environment you find today in mobile phones worldwide.

By day, Eric is a software developer with iAnywhere Solutions, where he works in the On-Demand Services group (which includes AvantGo, the original mobile web browser). Eric has written other books (most recently Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising Program) and runs various other blogs. This blog is part of the Synclastic Network of blogs and sites.
